Some months back, we received an exciting phone call from a production crew making their way through Southeast Texas. The popular SEC Network series,
TrueSouth, had begun work on their new season—filming their documentary program in our hometown to do a story on the unique, regional "Beaumont-style" beef link. In filming and interviewing the folks at the historic
Patillo's Bar-B-Q and
Gerard's Bar-B-Que, they learned of our TexJoy Steak Seasonings and Bar-B-Q rubs and came to check things out. We enjoyed having the cameras and crew in to see the love, pride, and care we put into our seasoning blends. Here we are many months later into college football season, and the episode is on the air! The episode features interviews with several folks just down the road from our spicy headquarters; Beaumont Sheriff, Zena Stephens; Beaumont native and renowned artist, John Alexander; George Gerard of Gerard's; Robert Patillo of Patillo's BBQ; and Texas Monthly editor, Daniel Vaughn.
Check out the video and look for the little yellow jars with the big Texas Bar-B-Q taste! We are so pleased to be seen in an episode about flavor and pride here at home, and we're so happy for our friends at Gerard's and Patillo's getting to share their stories and showcase their famous barbecue.
